Let's serve those who have served our country

Springfield post 32 American legion located at 1120 Sangamon avenue Springfield, Illinois was chartered in 1919 by returning world war I veterans. This American legion Post has now been in existence for a hundred plus years and has had veterans from all wars and conflicts since world war I as members. WE ARE ALL NON-PAID VOLUNTEERS and as you know, as veterans, we gave the United States of america, while serving in the armed forces, our 100%, up to if necessary, giving our lives for our country. We have been serving veterans of all wars, their families and the community, constantly since 1919. We are 100% + patriotic and all about our United States of America. Unfortunately, with the pandemic, the aging of our members / Veterans and the loss of business at our location, we may not be able to exist much longer. In past years, due to our location across from the Illinois State fairgrounds, we were able to take in a good amount of donations for parking in our lot during the fair. As you may know we did not have a 2020 Illinois state fair, so we lost thousands of dollars in donation / income. We had used these funds not only to assist our brother and sister Veterans, but also their families, plus pay our substantial property taxes for our Post building. We also operate a bar and restaurant and are trying to keep our 15 + employees working so they can feed, house, and clothes their families. If you can in any way assist us with a donation, no matter the amount, it could help us remain open in these uncertain times. Whatever you decide, thank you for your time and GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THOSE FIGHTING FOR US.
Thank you for your continued support!
