Let's send Putu to school in Bali

When I traveled to Bali in 2004, I met a young Balinese man named Ketut, and we became good friends. He introduced me to his family, friends and neighbors, brought me to their jewelry-making studio, and took me on the back of his motorcycle to visit art studios around the island that I never would have found on my own.

I stayed at their beautiful home -  they were kind, generous, made me laugh, and taught me so much about their life, music, and culture. We've been in contact now and then, but he recently messaged to say that their family, like so many in Bali, are really struggling since tourists are not coming to the island during the pandemic. They are working in rice fields to survive now. I am motivated to help them get through this, hopefully others feel the same way and will join me. 

Ketut wants to continue to send his daughter, Putu, to high school. $1000 is enough for her to go three more years and finish her senior year. $206 for school fees, $88 for uniforms, $243 for her English course, $82 for textbooks, and $243 to take online courses. That totals $865 and I'd like to give them a little extra. 

The school is starting soon and I'd like to send them money before the month is over. It would be such an honor to help these lovely people, and for Putu to know that there are people on the other side of the world that have her back, that know how critical and liberating an education can be for a young woman.  Anything we can send to her school to cover her fees would be greatly appreciated.
