Let's Rock for Shannon

Donation protected
Shannon is a 43 year old paramedic here in  British Columbia, she is a single mom to her two beautiful daughters and an outdoor enthusiast.  On her birthday this year she was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer named sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC), which is a tumour that starts in the olfactory cells and attaches to the back of the skull.  It is an aggressive cancer that has intruded into her brain. Within two weeks of her diagnosis she has been told she will undergo surgery at St. Paul's Hospital this Friday, September 28.  She has a long road to recovery including at least two weeks of observation at the hospital to avoid unforeseen complications.
Once she is able to return home she will likely still have to undergo at least 6 months of radiation. This is the best case scenario with still many unknowns.
Throughout this whole process Shannon will be unable to work....if she will be able to return to her work at all.  The money raised will go towards living expenses for the duration of her treatment and recovery.
