Let's rally for Shellee!

Dear Friends and Family,
We have recently learned that Eryn's mom, Shellee, has been diagnosed with a recurrence of cancer. We were shocked and saddened when advised that surgery is not an option this time. The only treatment available to her is chemotherapy, as a form of palliative care. We are hopeful this treatment can prolong her life without a significant decrease to her quality of life. Unfortunately, due to the treatment schedule and effects of chemotherapy, Shellee had to resign from her job. In addition, she is facing expenses made more challenging without a steady income. Foremost, she currently has a leased vehicle that is due to be turned in this month, so she will need another car. Plus, there will be additional medical expenses that are not covered by insurance (mainly very expensive medications). And the inevitable home health care expenses to help maintain her independence during treatment, and after. As we all know, Shellee is an extremely courageous and free spirited warrior. She has been facing this challenge with her ever present resilience and fierce sense of humor.
We've started this page to get the word out to our family and friends about her condition, and to give those that have asked how they can help, a way to contribute. Even if you can't help financially, our family (and especially Shellee) can use all your prayers and support during this difficult time. Let's rally for Shellee!
