Let's Make Trevor Smile

Donation protected
Trevor has been through an incredibly tough time recently with his cardiac and pacemaker issues, as well as a profound needle phobia due to all the trauma his body has faced through his 16 years so far. He was just beginning to work on the past traumas when he received news that he needed more surgery. This has been a HUGE mountain for Trevor to climb, considering even simple blood tests and antibiotics are traumatic for him.  Glenfield hospital staff have been incredible... from play specialist to nurses to doctors to anaesthetist! We cannot thank them enough for rebuilding Trevors trust and having patience with his phobias. Since Trevors surgery to replace his pacemaker on 26th September unfortunately there have been a few setbacks and we are still facing some big hurdles. The pacemaker wound became infected. This meant Trevor spent half term in hospital receiving IV antibiotics. Every dose was traumatic to start with but is slowly improving. Trevor was released home from Glenfield on Friday 25th October  to return DAILY for IV antibiotics. 3 weeks from the start of antibiotics Trevor is STILL showing signs of infection around the pacemaker box and the risks are too high to leave it in, so he now faces surgery to have the entire pacemaker plus wires removed as soon as they can... then more antibiotics with a temporary external pacemaker in place... then MORE surgery for a new pacemaker! Yes a nightmare! This is a page I'm setting up to try and make Trevors ONE wish come true so that once this nightmare is all over he has a reason to SMILE and can enjoy his one passion again... GOLF!  Trevors ONE wish is to be custom fitted for golf clubs at PING. At this stage I have no idea what the cost will be but no matter how small, ANY contributions towards making his dream come true would be appreciated. I want Trevor to know how much he matters ! He has a heart of gold but has felt very low at times with all these experiences. I think we can all see it's a LOT for a 16 year old lad to face. So let's club together and make him smile! Thank you so much! Xxx PS ... PLEASE don't tell Trev! I want it to be a surprise!
