Let love live and keep our OmCulture community alive!
OmCulture needs all the support and funds we can gather so we can continue to help our local and global communities grow and heal through opportunities for self study and connection. It is through these practices that we realize our divine connection.
For 20 years, OmCulture has created opportunities that foster self study, physical & spiritual wellbeing, emotional healing, connection, and community building. We hold space for multiple communities, including our yoga students, ecstatic dancers, tango dancers, fusion dancers, toddlers and their caregivers, school age children from four local schools, and our rental clients who use our space to celebrate the most joyous occasions in their lives and also to mourn the loss of their loved ones. We currently serve close to 10,000 community members in the greater Seattle area, and we are at risk of a permanent shut down.
Our most immediate need is to have the funds to keep our doors open. Rent and utilities still need to be paid, and our skeleton admin staff need to be able to buy food. This fundraiser will allow us to support the currently laid-off staff and the community members who are patiently and prayerfully awaiting the reopening of our spaces and the rehiring of our team. The small crew of staff and teachers we still have working for us are very generously giving their time and energy for reduced pay or as a donation in support of our sacred community.
OmCulture needs your support to carry us through this difficult time so we are able to reopen our doors and get right back to serving and growing our community as soon as restrictions on group gatherings are lifted.
OmCulture community members are truly there for one another, continuously offering each other both energetic and practical support to carry each other through the most difficult of times. Our community has supported individual fundraising efforts again and again for those facing expensive medical battles and other personal struggles. We hold each other up through so many challenges with an awareness that we are all in this together.
Moving forward, our plan is to shift into a non-profit structure to better support our goals and reflect our true mission. OmCulture has never existed for profit; it has always existed to serve others.
We need your help so we can continue helping others. If you are in a position where your needs are met and you feel secure enough to share with us, we encourage you to donate to OmCulture on a level that feels comfortable. If you have friends and family in other areas who are willing to support our mission, we will gladly share access to our online offerings, which will expand beyond our current schedule of live streaming yoga classes to include virtual opportunities to dance and make music together.
