Let's Help our Enel Family!

“There was a significant natural gas leak having great impact in Andover, North Andover and Lawrence, MA, USA this past Friday and requiring immediate evacuation of all Enel Green Power North American employees at work.  Over 70 houses and structures were destroyed by fire and/or explosion in the 3 cities mentioned. At one point in Andover, 17 houses were on fire at the same time. It was a bit like Armageddon like as one fire chief reported and this article will give you a sense as to the tragedy:

While all employees are accounted for, two of our EGPNA company team members, Roxana Mircea and her husband Cornelius Croitoru, as well as their son Sebastian, lost their residence, only a mile from the office, due to significant fire/water damage.  Heartbreaking in itself they fortunately are safe. 

This family was the only one impacted from EGPNA, but they lost everything.  I have had the good fortune of knowing Roxana, in particular, as a key member of our Procurement leadership team.  I know her to be unselfish and caring with great compassion for others.  Now we are also of great fortune to have Cornelius, an GDS team member, as well, and if you have ever met their son Sebastian, you would never forget the smile he can bring to your face with his laughter and curiosity.  By the way, a little girl is adding to their family in January as well.

I joined this company a few years ago and have been incredibly grateful for the family we are.  Family is first and at this time, we all need to help family whether we are American, Italian, Romanian or otherwise.  This is the only reason for our request to each and every one of you.  Imagine being in a foreign country without your own family and network to fall back upon and having to deal with such an overwhelming situation.  I believe we all would find this a challenge of challenges.
