Hi, I am Emma, the daughter of Geoff Grewcock - founder of Nuneaton &amp; Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary. I volunteer each day along side a dedicated team of animal loving volunteers to rescue wildlife. Many of you will have heard of us but for those of you who haven't let me brief you on our mission. We are a small family run charity that covers a wide area across the Midlands. We rescue wild animals that have been injured, attacked or abandoned and nurse them back to health. Once they are recovered we release them back into the wild. We have been doing this since 2001 and to date (2020) we have had over 75000 birds and animals! The sanctuary is located at the rear of Geoff's property which means he is on call around the clock every single day.  As we have no government or business funding we rely entirely on donations. Every penny raised goes directly to the wildlife in our care as all of our staff, including Geoff dedicate their time voluntarily.  The sanctuary costs around £25k a year to keep open.  The reason I am setting up this gofundme page is because historically we have spent most weekends throughout the summer months raising funds at fetes and shows, and also by giving talks to local schools and community groups, however, Covid-19 has put a stop to that meaning that this year we have made only a small amount of the money needed to fund the sanctuary. We hate to ask for money, and luckily until now haven't really ever had to, but with times as they are we really want to try and secure the sanctuary's future and stop dipping into Geoffs weekly state pension (something he has been doing and is happy too, but I think as a community we can avoid that). Let's join together in raising money in aid of Nuneaton &amp; Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary. Every penny will certainly help. Lets be amazing together - for the wildlife who have no one else to care for them.
