On October 5th Anna suffered devastating injuries resulting from a horseback riding accident. While on a normal ride, her horse "Arizona" unexpectedly reared up, throwing Anna to the ground. Arizona lost her balance and fell backwards on top Anna. Anna suffered multiple injuries including a fractured fibula and tibia, a fractured clavicle, a punctured and collapsed left lung, and several fractured ribs on both the left and the right side [some of the ribs were fractured in more than one place]. As a result of quick action by those present, she was transported by ambulance to Harborview Trauma Center in Seattle where she has spent three days in ICU, and will spend at least six or more days in the recovery ward before being discharged. Following this, she faces 6 to 8 weeks of physical rehabilitation, and another six months before she is fully recovered. While her hospital expenses have been covered, it is uncertain when she will be able to return to work full time and consequently faces a critical need for living expenses during her recovery time. Anna and her family will be deeply blessed and encouraged by any financial support you are able to give. Please continue to pray for continued healing and comfort for Anna as she begins a long rehabilitation.
