Thank you for taking the time to read about my efforts to show our love and support to our fellow Texans in El Paso. This original fundraiser was started August 12th, before PISD unexpectedly canceled the game. After getting National attention by Texas State Representatives and Presidential Candidate Beto O'Rourke public backlash the game was then reinstated by PISD. The TIMELINE OF EVENTS are below.
FUNDRAISER LAUNCHED AUGUST 12, 2019 - ORIGINAL DETAILS BELOW : (note, the game will be played Sept 5th @ The Star in Frisco)
After the recent tragedy at an El Paso Walmart where a former PSHS student shot and killed 22 innocent people and injuring dozens more, I felt compelled to do something.
Not everyone knows that PSHS will host El Paso's Eastwood High in their second annual football game on September 6 at Kimbrough Stadium in Murphy. Eastwood High School is less than 2 miles from the Walmart where the shooting took place. The irony surrounding this event is astounding.
I am asking for donations, any amount no matter how small be donated. I want to show the El Paso families that our community and our residents support and embrace them. In addition to donations, I'm asking anyone and everyone to please come out to Kimbrough Stadium in Murphy September 6th around 530-6 to greet the El Paso coaches, players and family members as they enter the stadium.

UPDATED August 15, 2019 - Email received from Principal Sarah Watkins from PSHS notifying families that the game with El Paso Eastwood was canceled. This will not stop my efforts to show the El Paso community that Plano residents support them and have their back. Please continue to share and donate. I was contacted first by KRLD 1080 for an interview.
I plan on going to El Paso on Sept 5, to personally deliver the money raised. If you'd like to join me, the more the merrier!

1210pm - OFFICIALLY LINKED TO THE EL PASO NON PROFIT epcf.org. El Paso Community Foundation, below is a Message from Carmen Vargas EPCF.
"Thank you so much for your support. Have donors provide you with names, addresses and amounts, we will gladly provide an acknowledgement letter stating that is a tax deductible donation. We have been serving the community for over 40 years and are an accredited Community Foundation by the National Standards Committee of Community Foundations."
2pm - I interviewed in person with WFAA Channel 8 (my favorite station), FOX Channel 4 and NBC Channel 5
4pm - PISD announces they have decided to reinstate the game with Eastwood HS
About me: I was raised in Mesquite, but have lived in Plano for 20 yrs with my husband Joe Davis and our 2 children, Dylan - 16yrs old and Delaney -17yrs old. Both children attend Plano Senior High. I survived a drive by shooting on June 6, 1996 after being shot in the arm and face. It is only by Gods grace that I did not die. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks and returned home, that's when the anxiety and fear began to consumed me. Most nights I woke up screaming for help after horrible nightmares. Even after 23 years, I have anxiety and struggle to leave my house. My experience pales in comparison to what victims of mass shootings must go through. My hopes with this fundraiser is to bring some comfort to the survivors but also to show that humanity exist; that regardless of a persons political views, skin color or religion, we can come together and support each other and hug it out. Thanks for the consideration.
Quick side note- This fundraiser is not affiliated with PISD or any boosters. I've been in contact with the staff at Eastwood HS in El Paso who was able to assist me with where to send donations. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to volunteer or donate things like gift cards for gas, snacks or foods, welcome signs to display or anything that would make El Paso folks feel more welcomed.
