Help make a Christmas wish come true

Everyone, Stephen and I are on a mission this Christmas to grant one Christmas wish. I met Shadora Ford a few years ago and instantly connected with her and her mission. She runs Destined for Greatness mentoring, and dedicates every dollar, every second, and every smile she has to helping young women rise up in the City of Detroit.
This holiday season, I asked Shadora if she had one wish what it would be- and she said a van. A van to help transport the girls that she mentors from school, to church, to home and back again.

More information about Destined for Greatness Mentoring Initiative (DFG Mentoring): Destined for Greatness mission is to educate, empower, encourage and employ young ladies ages 11 to 21. The goal is to show these youth that no matter what their downfalls may be, there is always a way to rise up above the negatives. The DFG Mentoring Program provides tools to help young ladies truly become Destined for Greatness! A young person’s haven and a family to some we educate encourage and empower young ladies to do things, which once may have seemed impossible to achieve. The strategic goal is to build strong leaders and future professionals. We must stop the streets and crime from taking our future generation and turning them into mere statistics. Our topics include, but are not limited to: hygiene, self-esteem, education and job readiness. “The choice is up you WIN or LOSE..."
