Hi my name is Jade and my sister Linda and I have started this gofundme page to help raise the funds needed to purchase our father John Steiner a headstone so that his final resting place is a reflection of the amazing man he was.
So let me tell you a little bit about our Dad Johnny.
He was a very hard working loving and caring man who loved his family, football (Penrith Panthers) and life in general. He was always a very fit an active man who would do anything for his family and friends. He loved helping out at the local footy club which his son Johnny plays for in any way he could. John was his children and grandchildrens biggest fan.
In June/July of 2017 John discovered he had Pulmonary Fibrosis after many many months of feeling unwell and countless tests.
For those of you that don't know what that is, it's an uncurable terminal illness. The only way to beat and survive is by receiving a lung transplant, as it basically turns the lungs to a concrete state until they no longer function. Unfortunately for our dad he was not lucky enough to receive the double lung transplant he needed to beat his diagnosis and he passed away on Tuesday the 30th of January about 6 months after learning his diagnosis leaving behind his solemate and wife Rosie his children Shane,Jade,Linda,Johnny, Shannon,Michael and Shelly his grandchildren, mother, sisters and brother.
Dad had no savings due to being off work for 12 months prior to his passing and with all his medical expenses and Rosie having to eventually give up working to provide Dad with the care he needed saving was no longer possible, and after the costs involved with dads funeral there was nothing left to purchase a headstone.
Myself, Linda and the Steiner family ask that you help us make this possible by donating as little or as much as you can to help us raise the $5000 needed to make our wish possible. If you are unable to donate that's ok we understand but ask you to still help by sharing our page with your family and friends.
