My name is Hailey Zaldivar and I was one of 20 students chosen for an elite program in collaboration with Stanford Medicine. Only two students from my school were chosen and I was lucky enough to be nominated because of my interest in Medicine and my GPA.
This program is an unprecedented opportunity to spend 10 days with the staff of the Stanford University Department of Emergency Medicine, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a real-world medical environment. From life-saving ER medical procedures, to disaster and wilderness medicine, this is a chance to learn under pressure, guided by the faculty of Stanford University's School of Medicine, one of the most highly ranked universities in the world.
Because of my interest in Medicine, I know this is a great opportunity for my future and my college career. Being able to do this will set the foundation for future opportunities with a very rare experience at a very prestigious university.
I am in 9th Grade at El Camino Real Charter High School. Being only 14 years old, I am not able to work to raise funds. I would like to ask any family and friends that would be willing to help shoulder this expense to help sponsor me for this great opportunity. Anything is greatly appreciated.
