First, I have spoken with Kelli about starting this fundraiser and getting permission to do this and speak about everything they are dealing with currently.
I would like to help raise money for them to help pay for gas, expenses, food, or whatever they may need. Anyway, Issac was first sent to Maine Med back in December of 2019.
It all began with a gall stone that left the gallbladder and got stuck in his common bile duct. This caused his pancreas to become inflamed. It then started to digest, causing necrotizing pancreatitis (which basically means the pancreas is dying). You can function without a pancreas, but many things need to be done. Issac then developed 3 large cysts on the pancreas. He then developed third spacing in his abdomen, which was basically free fluid all through his abdomen which caused his bowels and intestines to swell. Surgery would need to be done to drain the cysts, and that was eventually done this past Friday January 17, 2020. This in itself was another very serious surgery. Over the weekend he developed a fever of 103 and it wouldn't go below 101. His heart rate was up in the 140's and his O2 as low as 82%. He was moved to another unit to keep an eye on his heart rate. As of earlier today, Kelli said that he has an infection and it is not getting better. They need to operate again so that he does not go septic. The plan is for the morning of 1/21/20 to do that. This is another very large surgery and he may be sedated for multiple days as they most likely will have to go in multiple times.
Since December, I believe he has been in and out of Maine Med 3 times. I know that they feel this is bigger then they could have ever imagined. I felt helpless and wanted to help in some way, which is why I talked to Kelli about doing this. I thought if we could at least help raise money to help pay for food, gas, expenses, etc, it can help a tiny bit of the financial burden. If you can't donate, then please share. Please send prayers, well wishes, good vibes, or whatever you may do for Kelli, Josh, Issac and Jacob. Let them know we love them and are here help them all through this.
