Let's Cover Sam's Medical Debt!

If you know Sam Scarce, you love him! He's got a heart of gold and serves our church faithfully and diligently. Sam is a key part of our media team, filming events and various church video content. He brings the highest level of excellence to all he does and is such a loving presence in our church.
For the past few years Sam has been battling kidney failure. He was blessed with a kidney transplant, but complications can still arise with his body rejecting the foreign kidney that requires various medical treatments to get his body functioning properly again. A part of the treatments are infusions that are similar to chemotherapy in their affects on Sam, which can often leave him feeling unwell for extended periods of time. On top of the physical strain is the financial cost. Each infusion can cost upwards of $100,000 and while Sam has great insurance he is still left with a hefty out-of-pocket bill that has racked up into a $15,000 medical debt.
At the beginning of the year there were great signs for Sam and his kidney with his body not showing any signs of complications. But recently his body has begun to reject his kidney again forcing a new round of infusions. Sam is looking at another $7,500 in pot-of-pocket expenses for a new round of infusions to get his body back to good function.
Sam is such a great man. He loves God, loves people and loves the church. You can always find him doing whatever he can to lend his many talents to aid the church and move it forward. He is a loyal and true friend who loves to make sure everyone around him feels valued.
We would like to give you the opportunity to be the Church for him. This year has been especially hard, but it would be a great outpouring of God's grace through us if we could pull together and help Sam wipe out his current medical debt by the end of the year. Every little bit builds into a big impact, so we'd like to encourage you to give what you can so that Sam can, at the very least, have the weight of financial burden lifted from him in this hard time.
