After 15 years of discussion, consultation, debate and frustration Pittwater Baseball Club is about to say farewell to a rusted out sea container, dilapidated kiosk, toilets and club room as we welcome a new clubhouse, canteen, amenities (male & female change rooms) and storage facility to be built at North Narrabeen Reserve.
The design is finalised and tenders for the delivery of the new facility close with Northern Beaches Council on Thursday 22nd March with construction expected to commence within the next 6-8 weeks.
PBC has already raised $50,000 over many years of fund raising and more recently was successful with. NSW Community Building Partnership grant of $80,000 however we now need to meet a final commitment of $10,000 to bring this project, which has many times seemed just a dream, to reality.
Operating for over 35 years, Pittwater Baseball Club has been the benchmark club on the Northern Beaches with the parents of over 3,500 young boys and girls entrusting the Club with their children to educate them in the skills of baseball, sportsmanship and being the breeding ground for hundreds of lifelong friendships that have been formed by kids and parents alike.
