Let's Build an Orphanage in Uganda

Black White Children Orphanage (BWCO) was founded in 2012 by Ngobi Derrick Mayo Twist who set out to address injustices he experienced himself and saw on the streets of Uganda. Many vulnerable children forced to fend for themselves whether orphaned, disabled, homeless, neglected or abused. They needed love and protection as every child deserves.
What started off as small vision has grown into something BIG as Derrick now lives together with 63 children in an overcrowded and rented space. The children's needs of food, clean water, medical, education, clothing, spiritual guidance and shelter are met so they can just be children.
With the help of many individuals and groups who joined in his cause and made it their personal mission, a plot of land has was secured, cleared of trees and the foundation has been laid. It is now time to start raising money to dig the hole for
4 stall BATHROOM (2 girls/2 boys) with 2 bathing areas and to lay bricks for the WALLS We will be raising the money in phases and showing picture updates as the work is done.
We know there are many ways to care and support orphans, locally and globally but we hope you will choose to love alongside of us to build this home, sponsor a child and even visit us one day!
