Laurie Vinson Needs Our Help

Most people who know Laurie (Hicks) Vinson don't realize that she has been valiantly battling diabetes for many years.  She goes through each day with a smile on her face and a bounce in her step.  Laurie's health, however, has now deteriorated to the point where she needs our help!   
 Over time, complications from Laurie's diabetes have resulted in both heart disease and kidney failure.  These conditions can both be corrected, but Laurie cannot  work during the healing process.
Heart surgery was performed last week, and Laurie is currently recovering well in a lower mainland hospital.  At this time, doctors say she cannot return to work for 8 - 12 weeks.  
Laurie will also receive her kidney transplant in Vancouver once a donor is found.  This surgery will mean many more weeks and months away from family, friends, home and work.
Please help us raise enough money to cover some of her household expenses while she is unable to work.  With a chronic medical condition, disability insurance is not an option.  Laurie needs to be able to focus on healing, not worrying about her mortgage and bills while she can't work.
