Hello beloved family.

My name is Melkamu Belachew Moges (PhD). I have worked as lecturer of law in Ethiopia in several universities for quite several years. I came to the U.S. winning a prestigious Fulbright scholarship in Feb.2024 as visiting researcher. In August 2025, I joined a Law School at Pace University, New York. While I have been poudly pursuing the study for the last 3 months, I now encounter financial challenges to cover the tuition fee and living costs (including my 3 kids back home) due to termination of work permit. As a person who helped fellow Ethiopians for many years as legal educator, lawyer, and advocate, now, I feel it may be the time to receive not to get profit but to pass the emergent challenge ahead of me for about one year.

But I also come with a promise/hope of serving you and our beautiful community even more diligently and with greater wisdom after I, with your invaluable help, successfully finish this study, in a field which is very productive for me! As they say, "50 lemons are a weight burden for one person but a joy for fifty, persons," your little contributions will be good enough to achieve my goal.
