Anyone that knows Lessley Dillard, knows one thing....she NEVER GIVES UP and has the will of a Gladiator. She also always has a smile and inspirational word for anyone who can use a lift in their day. Always seeing the glass half full.
She not only keeps a positive attitude with herself under the circumstances, she has always been there for everyone else during their times of challenge and distress. Now it's our chance to pay it forward to one of the strongest women anyone will ever know. Her optimism and heart are bigger than this thing called Cancer...and with a little help she can head to victory in her fight.
With her recent diagnosis of breast cancer she is still keeping true to her modus operandi. Unfortunately, her insurance and living finances have depleted all of her savings. Always healthy in her way of living, she is trying to keep true to her way of health and life, by seeking care at a holistic facility.
This will get her where she needs to be healthy both physically and mentally, and getting back where she needs and loves to be....shining her energy and smile and strength amongst us all!
On September 7, 2017 I received a call from my best friend, Lessley, I was expecting to have a pleasant conversation about her day, however on this phone call, all I could hear was sobbing, and all I could understand was one word – CANCER. I will never forget that moment, my whole body went numb, and my chest was extremely heavy that I could hardly breathe. All I could think, was this is not happening, no not Lessley. Well it is happening; Lessley has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s still in a quandary because no one in her family has ever been diagnosed with breast cancer.
To date she’s still in the process of diagnosing the stage. Either way she has done a lot of research and she has concluded her best course of treatment is an alternative care modality. We understand that this may not necessarily be the mainstream choice of care; this option is the one that resonates with her. She feels strongly on every level that this is the only and best course of care.
Our goal is to raise $25,000. We understand that sound like a lot, but when you include funding the treatment center, room and board, and living expenses that’s nothing compared to saving our warrior - Lessley. The costs for alternative therapies are completely out of pocket for her and we are asking our friends and family for their assistance.
The hope is we can gather these funds quickly in order for Lessley to begin her journey to wellness as soon as possible.
