Leslie Riggs Cook, a US Airforce veteran and an award-winning Subaru employee, passed away Friday November 27th from Pneumonia, complicated by blood clots in her lungs, which caused cardiac arrest as she was being loaded into a flight for life helicopter.
Her unexpected passing at the age of 51 has stunned her family and friends. She was a gracious southern lady whose heart was greater than her state of Alabama. She was fondly addressed by rugby players around the world as their, “Rugby Mom”. Over the years, she fed and housed members of teams from New Zealand, Ireland, Serbia, Australia and Scotland. No one was a stranger to Leslie, all were welcomed into her home.
She is survived by her loving husband, Andy and their sweet dog, Porky. Neither of whom can seem to grasp her sudden passing.
