Leslie Block Memorial Kindness Fund

Donation protected
On August 12th, we lost our beloved Leslie Block. Leslie was the epitome of kindness and graciousness.  At 47, Leslie left us far too soon. She fought a valiant battle against an especially aggressive form of lung cancer. The irony of a health-conscious, non-smoker contracting the disease was not lost on her.

Even when facing death, Leslie was making jokes from her hospital bed to put others at ease and trying to figure out how she could continue to make a difference. Leslie spent a lifetime in service activities - volunteering for her local Sherwood community, various Oregon track and field entities, helping the Oregon Food Bank, Loaves and Fishes , Catholic Charities and the Rock N Roll Camp for Girls. She took on these activities while working full time, raising a family, caring for her elderly parents and always being available to assist her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

We're starting this campaign to set up a fund that will enable her family to continue to make a difference in her honor. All donations will be used to carry on her acts of kindness.  The first portion of the fund will be used to help young athletes that need more financial support to continue to train and compete. The fund will be managed by her sister Lisa and her husband Kirk, with input on causes financed from her children Paige and Dylan.

Please join us in honoring Leslie's spirit and continuing to put kindness out into a world that will sorely miss her presence.
