Run for paws!

Hello friends!
On May 29, 2016, I will be running my first half marathon, as part of the Ottawa Scotiabank Race. I'm expecting it will be 21.2km of pure running bliss.
Over the years, our family has been priviledged to share our lives with many cats and dogs, most of which have been rescue animals. They have all brought great joy to our lives and I can't ever imagine a day without a pet in the house. Our animals are treated as full members of the family, spoiled rotten with love and affection, treats and toys. It is a common saying in our family that if reincarnation exists, we hope to come back as a "Kerr pet".
Last summer, I lost my Aunt Patsy after a short battle with Esophageal cancer. As with the rest of my family, Patsy had an intense love for animals, and over time rescued many cats who enjoyed a life of luxury under her care.
I am dedicating my run to Patsy's memory and in honor of her, have decided to raise funds for our local Montreal SPCA. I know there are many great rescue organizations out there, and they could all use our help. The SPCA works hard to give all their animals the best care, and often work hand in hand with some of the smaller rescue organizations.

Thank you so much for your support! Your generosity will leave me with a smile on my face during my run!
