Covid took my job I need one months rent...

I have been working in the construction industry since finishing school and have always found work easily, I've been really lucky that I haven't been affected by the downturn of the economy in the past.

But this time Covid has ended my current work and last week I was told I had no job due to local local downs and through no fault of our own work grinding to a hault, all is not lost though as I have been told in the new year I have work.

That leaves me one month rent in arrears, I have tried the local benefits but as I've been out of work only a week and I have work to start in 2021 they say I do not fit the criteria.

The obvious thing I first tried was to ask my landlord if there was any way I could defer the payment but as he rents out student accommodation and the local universities are running on skeleton courses he really can't afford for himself to be unpaid, which I totally understand. I don't have any family left apart from a few reletives I've never met and cannot ask for help. 

So I'm looking for anything anyone can give me anything to get through this time, even a loan, anything. 

I know Christmas has been written off for us all but I really don't want to be homeless over winter. I don't know where else to turn.
