It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that I have to announce that my husband, Leonard Martinez, lost his fight for life on November 1, 2013.
Please help to raise money to renovate the NYC Queen's Zoo Aviary in honor of Leonard Martinez. Leonard was an avid bird lover and zoo keeper with the Wildlife Conservation Society who runs and manages the New York City Zoos. Leonard's love and commitment to animals was unmatched and was truly a gift to this world. In addition to renovating the aviary, much needed renovations to existing animal sanctuaries will be covered through this donation. A preliminary proposal has been presented to the Wildlife Conservation Society to initiate the planning phase of the memorial. Please honor Leonard and all of the animals and donate to this worthy campaign. All proceeds will go directly to the Wildlife Conservation Society.
