Leo Montoya's Medical Expenses

As many of you know, Leo Montoya was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome in February of 2015.  It is a rare disorder in which your immune system attacks your nerves.  More recently, he was diagnosed with CIDP, which is the more chronic counterpart to GBS.

Since February, Leo has been admitted to ICU three times, twice having to be flown in to Lubbock due to the severity of his condition then followed by long hospital stays.  He has been in two Skilled Nursing Facilities, and currently, he is at Texas Specialty Hospital, which is a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility where he is on a ventilator and continues to be treated for his illness. 

Between the hospital stays, his appointments in Lubbock and hotel stays, costs continue to rise for Leo and Leticia.  This of course, doesn’t include the medical bills and co-pays that continue to accumulate.

So many people have asked how they can help, so I thought helping Leo and his wife, Leticia, by setting up this fund would be the best way along with continued prayers for healing.  

 Leo has been an employee of JP Stone Community Bank for about 30 years, and is a loved member of the community.  Leo has never met a stranger.  If you have ever had the privilege of meeting Leo then you know that both he and Leticia have a hearts of gold.  They are always the first to help ANYONE in need, so many times without ever even being asked.
