Firstly, Thank you for visiting the page.

Below is a link to an album to some of the pictures of the aftermath of
the injuries, please know they are graphic.

The issue as the title implies is that our brother/son, Leo, has been in an accident, however awful it is we are trying to be lighthearted in the hopes of staying positive. Both of his legs were broken among other injuries sustained, his new car was totaled, and he is now missing the latter half of this school semester as well as the next at least.

During a charity event held by his fraternity Leo was walking at the rear of the group followed by the safety car, which was his own but was being driven by someone else at the time. The car was rear-ended at a high speed by a careless driver. Not only did this total the car, but pushed it forward with enough force to slam into Leo himself.  Not only did the impact break the Tibia in his left leg, but it shattered both bones in his right leg both of which were compound, which means the bones broke through the skin. He was also concussed and sustained trauma to his left
eye.

While the driver of the vehicle that hit his car was deemed at fault their insurance has claimed they are not responsible for any damages despite hitting the car and a pedestrian. Not only that but Leo's insurance, which is supposed to cover his car damages entirely in the state of Michigan, has said they can only provide $5,000.

The car was worth $13,000, College Tuition is around $20,000  a year, plus another $5,000 on top of that for specialised housing. He will be
incapacitated for about 18 months after and during which he will need
follow up care from: Orthopedics, Neurology, Phycology, Trauma,
and Occupational therapy.

Physical therapy alone if he were to go three times a week for 18
months would cost on average $32,400. That is assuming he is only
going three times a week and only for 18 months, which is very unlikely seeing as that is the minimum. That also isn't including any specialized
equipment that he may need.
He will need at home health care help for at least a year after he leaves the hospital sa well. On average that would cost around $213,148.
This also isn't factoring on the numerous visits to multiple hospitals and specialists for his different injuries over the course of at least 18
months.

We understand we are asking for a lot, so if you are unable to help with a donation please consider sharing it with those who may be able to
help of find others to help.

These funds would be put into immediate effect to help Leo get back on his feet, literally and figuratively.

Thank you.
