<div>Ganz plötzlich und unerwartet hat das Herz meines Vaters und meines geliebten Partners Leo Gerod Mosley a.k.a Phantom Black plötzlich aufgehört zu schlagen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
Und auch im Basketball galt für Ihn immer der gleiche Leitsatz: “Home is where your heart and passion is. Your friends are the glue that holds everything together“ Hier war sein zu Hause, in der Musik im Studio, im Gym in seiner Liebe zu den Menschen die Ihn über sein halbes Leben umgaben.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div>Dear friends and loved ones,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of my father and beloved partner, Leo Gerod Mosley, a.k.a. Phantom Black. My name is Jaelen, I am 18 years old and Leo's son, and I am Jass, Leo's fiancée.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This loss has been a tremendous shock to us and all who knew and loved him, leaving our world standing still in the midst of deep pain and sorrow. Jaelen and I are overwhelmed by the many messages of sympathy we have received since July 14, 2024. We want to take this moment to express our heartfelt thanks for every message, every shared memory, and all the sincere condolences. Knowing that we are not alone and that we can share this grief with you gives us so much strength during this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Born in North Carolina, Leo decided to join the Army at the age of 18. In 1993, at the age of 22, he was stationed in Gießen, Germany. After a challenging and impactful time in the Afghanistan War, he eventually made his way to Hamburg.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This city became his home for the next 28 years. Here, he quickly found his new family of friends as a musician and basketball coach. As the music artist Phantom Black, he brought American flair to the German hip-hop culture in the 2000s, inspiring, motivating, and uniting his hip-hop family with his "Love is the Key" spirit. In basketball, he lived by the same motto: "Home is where your heart and passion are. Your friends are the glue that holds everything together." His home was in music, the studio, the gym, and the love he shared with those around him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the birth of his son Jaelen, his life felt complete, and he knew he wanted to stay in Hamburg. He remained here until his last breath, living for his close-knit and happy family. Jaelen and I were his closest family here in Germany, feeling his love the most intimately. But whenever a friend called, he would drop everything to be there for them. Out of deep love and gratitude, we want to give him a dignified farewell that honors his memory with all who mourn with us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any contribution, no matter how small, towards his funeral would greatly help us. We are certain that Leo Gerod Mosley, a.k.a. Phantom Black, would shower each and every one of you with boundless gratitude and love for your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support and look forward to embracing everyone who lends a hand.
