Lens Battle Against Cancer Lens first battle with cancer was in 2001 He had surgery, fought and overcome the terrible ordeal. In February of 2017 he became ill once again. After many Dr visits, tests, he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He started chemotherapy last summer with many trips from Newtown to St. Johns. On Nov 9th, he rang the bell at the H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, relieved that his treatments had come to an end. Just a month later he was rushed to St. Johns by ambulance , only to find out that his cancer had returned. Today Len is a patient at the Health Science Center. He has a mass on his tonsil. He has to start aggressive chemotherapy this coming week followed by a Stem Cell transplant. Without this treatment there is no hope. Lens income has been greatly affected within the last year due to him not being able to work due to his sickness. Medical bills are very high as you can image. Right now both Len and his wife Wanda need to be focusing on his healing rather than the financial stress that comes with such a devastating diagnosis. Any amount that you can give to help make the next few months a little easier for Len & Wanda would be greatly appreciated.
