Lend Leo a Hand Fund, an Army Veteran Fighting for His Life
Help us Lend Leo a Hand. Leo Wisniewski is a 59 yr. old Army Ranger Veteran, and faces a long up-hill battle as he begins his biggest fight, the one for his life. Leo has recently been diagnosed with a rare cancer of the appendix that has spread throughout his abdomen. His doctors in Long Beach, California are hoping to keep his Stage IV cancer at bay by immediately starting him on intensive chemotherapy, cytoreduction surgery with possible intraperitoneal heated chemotherapy.
Our goal is to raise financial aid for Leo urgently needed for the unforeseen costs with hospital stays, co-pays, transportation, meals and living expenses while undergoing the upcoming chemo treatment cycles
Before being diagnosed with cancer, Leo had been working at the Los Angeles Metro Rail Station as an armed security guard, which he truly enjoyed. Much of the time was spent helping the people. Prior to becoming a guard Leo worked in retail management over 30+ years. He was a manager at a nationally known bike shop in the LA area and in Mammoth Lakes, California serving the ski community.
Family and friends are pleading for your help to raise funds for Leo who is proud to have served our country as an Army Ranger with service in the 2nd Ranger Battalion 1977-80 at Fort Lewis, Washington. Leo is a lover of wild adventures with a passion for taking on sports to an extreme level, be it on the mountain skiing, on his mountain bike riding incredibly challenging trails, or riding his Ducati motorcycle, his absolute true love. Leo has Oreo, his trustworthy furry companion who continues to be by his side. During his most painful moments Oreo keeps him going. With his wit and humor, Leo has touched people's lives. All those that love Leo want to see him back riding his mountain bike and his Ducati with his GoPro on his helmet sending us videos of his adventures to cringe at-that is who Leo is.
