It’s a relentless condition that has taken a heartbreaking toll—not only on her body, but on every aspect of their lives. For more than 2½ years now, Shannon hasn’t been able to work. What used to be simple daily tasks now leave her utterly drained. Some days, she’s so weak she can’t even get out of bed.
