<div>Hey, this is Jennifer Harris-Wicks, and I’m trying to rally my peeps and others behind one of my best friends in the world. Donna Sanger and I have known each other for nearly 40 years. She’s one of the hardest workers I know, but for the past several months, she’s struggled physically and mentally, at home and at work. Come to find out, she has a racquetball-size tumor on her brain. Thankfully, it’s expected to be non-cancerous, but it still has to come out because it’s pressing on the brain, causing physical, mental, and personality difficulties.

<div>Her neurosurgeon at KU Medical Center sounds confident that it can be successfully removed, though it’ll take several hours of surgery and several weeks of recovery.

<div>She’s missed several weeks of work already, likely not being able to return until February. And obviously this type of surgery is very expensive. She’ll easily reach her out-of-pocket max of $7500. This is a daunting financial burden, in addition to trying to get through and recover from surgery. I know money’s tight for people around the holidays, but if you’d like to contribute something to help Donna, I know she would greatly appreciate your generosity.
