Please fund me for new leg braces

My name is Len Lacina, and I am asking for your help in getting a new lease on life.
I have been wheelchair bound for almost the past 10 years. I love and served my country as a U.S. Army Tanker from 2001 -2002. I was given the standard vaccines while I was in but one vaccine gave me an adverse reaction which gave me lead (7x the normal amount) and mercury poisoning (twice the normal amount). The end result left me with paralyzed legs from the knees down and bound me to a wheelchair ever since.
After months of physical therapy, in July 2015, I was able to get a very basic form of knee, ankle and foot orthotic braces that actually allowed me to stand and walk for the first time in almost 10 years. The trouble is they are very basic, poorly made, and constantly fall apart. These basic braces can only be used for about 3-4 hours per day and are only supposed to be used indoors.

My goal is to get a newer, better set of leg braces that will allow me to stand and move for up to 14 hours per day. This would allow me a “normal” life, and change my life for the better. These new braces (information on them can be found below) are very expensive and cost $26,000.00, which I simply cannot afford on my own.
My case has been being fought with the Veterans Administration for the past 7 years, and they will NOT cover any expense on my braces until the case is settled; also my healthcare insurance will also NOT cover anything for the new braces. I hate asking for help, and asking for money to help fund these new braces, but sometimes in life, we must swallow our pride and ask for help in the generosity of others.
It was suggested by a family member for me to tell my story, and set up a gofundme.com page to help raise funds for these braces and a new shot at life for me.
