With the Sandbox Global Summit right around the corner, we are raising funds to help bring international DJ - and dear friend of Sandbox - Lemurian to perform during our Kenya Summit!
Who is Lemurian?
Max Silva - best known as Lemurian - is an international DJ, having performed in over 30 countries, and at events such as Burning Man's art exhibition at The Smithsonian in Washington DC, the last 3 Burning Mans, AfrikaBurn, and many more, whose musical path has been to blend sounds of ancient and mystical traditions with electronic, downtempo beats in particular honoring his Andean/Peruvian roots. Melodic, uplifting and with a message of cross-cultural and environmental connection, Max lives on the road, sharing his gift in some of the world’s most beautiful locations and surrounded with inspiring change-makers that see in music a deeper message than just dancing. More than gigs however, Max’s sets are ceremonies of connections and celebration.

Why This GoFundMe?
The Sandbox Summit successfully achieved the first main milestone, selling enough tickets to invest in and invite local Kenyan talent to perform at the event, showcasing a flavour of the East African sounds and brilliance. But have fallen short of reaching the next tier to be able to invite international artists.
After speaking with a couple inspiring musicians from our network that we know will help kick it up yet another notch, two artists have accepted to join us if we can cover base travel and accommodation costs, foregoing their typical performance fee, which we are deeply grateful for!
Last year in Croatia, Max generously shared his magic for long hours to heighten the spirits of our fellow Sandboxers, leaving a deep trace in many of us - the reason why we want to sponsor his expenses to be able to join us in Kenya!
NEEDS & GOAL
We are trying to raise $2,000 to cover his flights, inner country transport, and accommodations during the Summit.
Whether you can help out with $20 or $2,000, every single dollar will help, and timing plays a huge role in allowing this to happen.
We need to have his flights and accommodations booked THIS WEEK, by 9/21. We apologize for the rush, as we were hopeful to reach the ticketing milestone organically.
