LEMATA - Fashion Show

LEMATA (Leaving Everlasting Memories as Time Advances) "Models for the Cure" is an annual fashion show and fundraiser designed to be a public tribute to our cancer survivors' by honoring and celebrating their lives and struggles. Cancer survivors are the models for this extravagant event, as they come from all walks of life. They are all ages, ethnicity and have/had varying types of cancers and want others to know how they made it. As our models grace the runways with excitement and dignity, their testimonies are shared in hopes of encouraging other individuals who are, have been or will be diagnosed with this dreadful disease.
This non-profit organization provides a powerful, dynamic message of love, hope, and healing to those challenged by physical, mental and emotional illnesses and disabilities by bringing awareness to others through the dynamics of modeling.

Cancer survivors are our loved ones, parents, siblings, children, colleagues, neighbors, friends and community leaders who continue to walk with dignity after having been stricken with some form of this disease. Their inner beauty, integrity, and fortitude leave a legacy for their loved ones and others.

It is LEMATA's desire to raise an awareness and spotlight the talents of those who are differently-abled.

We serve as a conduit for the dissemination of information regarding physical, emotional and mental health issues.

LEMATA provides economical and financial support, i.e. co-pay for prescriptions, food, transportation, basic household and medical needs through its donations.
