On October 23rd Lela’s fiancé was in a fatal car accident that left him in critical condition with little hope of recovery. After several days of hoping and praying for any sign of improvement he was taken off of life support leading to him passing away the morning of Wednesday, October 28th. He had been only a few weeks away to achieving his life goal of opening his own tattoo shop in Grand Haven, Michigan. My name is Camille Browne and I am looking to raise money to help my long time friend Lela Underwood with expenses to get through this difficult time and to help keep Her fiancés business alive. Lela was His life partner,  best friend and business partner. In the years that they shared together I have never seen such a strong loving relationship. Most people that spend too much time together end up arguing or having resentment towards one another, but The two of them were more than happy to spend every moment together, and even took it as far as to start their own business. They were planning on getting married next year, 2021. Both of their finances were largely directed into getting their shop dream up and running, and sadly with the tragedy that has occurred Lela is having a hard time making ends meet. Her fiancé had a large role in providing for the bills and expenses that they both shared. Any and all money donated will directly go to Lela to help where needed. Since the accident Lela needed time off of work to care for Him and then subsequently mourn him when he passed. Lela desperately needed more time to mourn him, but this option was not available since she couldn't get by without going back to work. She had to go back but even returning to work was not an option. Her work had to close due to employees testing positive for covid, and now the state has shut down her work for three weeks, meaning she can't work for a total of two months, maybe longer if the shutdown gets extended. Unfortunately unemployment does not even cover her monthly bills, let alone money for groceries, gas, or getting the shop ready. This gofundme will give Lela the funds to take care of herself and assist in the debt that the accident has caused and also allow the opportunity for Lela to move to affordable housing and provide for herself, as well as help her supply for the shop and get it ready for its opening. She is going through a very difficult time and financial worries should not be added to her list of stress.
