Leigha Brown's Cochlear Processor
Donation protected
Leigha was born deaf. She received a cochlear implant in her right ear when she was two. Without the processor, she is profoundly deaf and cannot hear. I decided to have her mainstreamed, therefore, Leigha does not know sign language. Without the processor, she has a very difficult time communicating with others. Her current processor is not functioning as it should and will soon wear out. It is old and parts are unavailable any longer. A new processor is around $10,000.00. Advanced Bionics will not accept Alabama Medicaid. School has been very tough for Leigha, but she has maintained A's, B's & a couple of C's. She will begin her senior year in high school soon and is in great need of this new processor. Her hearing is failing everyday. Please help Leigha with this desperate need.
