<div>I met Daniella when she was 6 years old. Her older sister Maria and my daughter Becca became close friends in 5th grade and even then, Daniella was a force! She is now an incredible 26 year old woman, living in Highland Park NJ with her wonderful husband Brian and their three children Lukas (age 4), Leia (age 2) and Liam (6 months). They are salt of the earth people with the biggest hearts. Currently, they are battling the unthinkable… Leia, their two year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia this week! In addition to astronomical medical bills (including chemotherapy and other treatments) Daniella needed to go on unpaid leave from her job to stay with Leia in the hospital. Now she needs to private pay her desperately needed medical health insurance. Expenses such as rent, food, diapers, daycare, transportation and more will be crushing. Daniella’s mom also left her job to be available for Lukas and Liam. None of us can plan for these types of emergencies. And as part of this incredible family’s community and extended networks I am hoping we can shoulder some of the burden. I know they would do it for us if we were in this position. Please give what you can. Anything helps.
