Excitement! Mostly!

Next year we'll host our second Legendarium Meetup, this time in Salt Lake City, UT, our hometown and stomping ground. It will take place February 24-25, 2024. Plenty of time to plan your trip!

The coming meetup will feature authors, artists, food, fun, and maybe even a performance of Golden Slumbers by Kenn. If we're lucky.

Last year's meetup was in Portland, OR, and it was so much fun. But as fun as it was, we also came out about $1,500 in the hole after the venue, catering, etc. were paid for. So to raise some cash for next year's event--which will be bigger and better--we're holding another pay-to-vote fundraiser. The goal is to raise at least $1,000 to help offset costs.

Whether or not you'll plan to be at the meetup, your help is sorely needed, and will be much appreciated. And it will not go unrewarded.

For every dollar you donate, you will receive one vote for the next series we read.

The choices are as follows:

A Game of Thrones, by G.R.R Martin
A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L'Engle
Gardens of the Moon, by Steven Erikson
3 short stories, by H.P. Lovecraft
Dragonflight, By Anne McCaffrey
Redwall, by Brian Jacques

(Note: Most of these are series. I've only listed the first book, but it's unlikely that we'd only read one. We see you, Malazan fans.)

When you donate, you'll be given a chance to comment. Put your vote in that comment. It is perfectly fine to split your votes between several books!

======================
THE STANDINGS THUS FAR:
160 votes - Redwall
135 votes - A Wrinkle in Time
125 votes - A Game of Thrones
105 votes - Dragonflight
10 votes - Off Armageddon Reef
======================

Voting will continue through the end of May. Choose which series you want us to read next, and let your generosity communicate your level of desire! (You absolutely can vote for something not on this list, but it may be less likely to win.)

Please know that whatever you decide to donate to this project--or even if you can't donate and all you can do is listen and share--you will have won our gratitude. The Legendarium became a bigger, badder, better project than we ever expected when we started it, thanks to our listeners. Involving you in this project is not only necessary, it feels right.

Thanks for your help.
