On November 9, 2017, my common law spouse Kelly was killed in a horrific car accident involving a deer and another vehicle on Hwy 28 near Bailieboro. This is just 9 months after our house was heavily in a fire.
I'm beyond devastated. But I know I have a battle ahead of me regarding his estate, as his will predated our relationship (Ontario's Laws need to be changed to protect Common Law spouses).
We were already facing financial hardship due to the fire. Now I stand the chance of not only facing life without my Pookie, but I likely will be deemed homeless in short order. I need to be able to fight for my rights, I need to be able to grieve without worrying about money, and I need my Kelly back.
