Meet little K, the sweetest most tenacious little 4 year old that is the center of this story.

One day we met a little baby boy. He was at the time a part of the foster system. We loved and cared for K as our own in hopes that one day he would be part of our little family. Adoption was the goal.

We spent every moment we could with him making him the little man he is today. Then one day he was ripped from us. We spent nearly 4 months away from him.

His original foster parents failed us. The state failed us. The system was what we had to fight. Each and everyday away from him we fought and worked vigorously getting him back. After countless sleepless nights wondering what he was doing, was he happy, did he wonder where we were, we made our way back to him.

In April 2025 after 4 months away we were reunited. K now is with us 50% but we continue to fight for what’s best for him.

We are forever grateful. He knows we will always come back for him.

In this fight we have we have not only suffered mentally but financially. We have the greatest and most vigorous lawyer that has worked tooth and nail to get our boy back. We owe her the world and so much more. As we work to formally finalize our parentage for K we will continue to incur legal fees.

We are so appreciative of everyone who has helped in our fight to get K back. The numerous declarations, donations and thoughtful prayers have meant the world to us. We love you.
