We are launching this fundraiser to support Indigenous women in the Ecuadorian Amazon in their pursue of justice and freedom!  Indigenous women in the Amazon are defending the rainforest and their people's lands from destruction.  Because of their successful work many women have been targeted and persecuted by extractive companies and the government.  This means that Indigenous women are more exposed to experiencing multiple types of violence both within and outside their communities, systemic violence from extractive industries, governments &amp; structural and racial discrimination. As a result  there is no guarantee of their rights and crimes continue unpunished.  There is extremely little support for Indigenous women facing gender violence. More than ever, Indigenous women defenders need to be defended and protected!  With the funds raised we will support Indigenous women throughout 2021 with: - legal costs  - logistical expenses related to legal processes - professional emotional support  costs  - costs for any necessary safety measures  THANK YOU &amp; HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
