Legacy of Letters 2023 Letterpress Extravaganza

I'm Paul Shaw, the leader of Legacy of Letters—a tour and workshop focusing on calligraphy, type, and letterpress printing—that has taken place in Italy eleven times since 1996. Legacy of Letters 2023 Letterpress Extravaganza, taking place this July, will be the last one. We have 8 participants so far and there is room for two more.

In 2022 we found sponsors for scholarships to enable two people under 30 to be part of Legacy of Letters: Erica Carras and Khoa Nguyen (pictured above). My goal for 2023 was to find funding for 5 scholarships. I managed to get money for four, but since we had 18 applicants for those places several worthy candidates were left out. I want to raise money to fund two of them.

The next two people on the list (based on the judging of their portfolios by myself and our sponsors) are both women. One is from Iran and the other is from Italy. I need to raise $4000 per person to enable them to join this final Legacy of Letters tour and workshop.
