Leelans Chance

They say money cant buy happiness but in certain scenarios it really can. Leelan – Fourth Of November 2014 Born eight weeks premature with an immediate diagnosis of cerebral palsy. Leelan has been given a chance of a better way of life that would require a surgical procedure that has just been announced by the NHS, unfortunately Leelan does not qualify for treatment on the NHS due to the stage of his disability. There are different stages of the disability that qualify for funding, stage 1,2 and 3, however Leelan is at stage 4 meaning he cant get the treatment he needs without outside funding. Originally we was offered the treatment in america costing over $150,000. Obviously this is a huge amount of money and know it would have been difficult to raise. The treatment Leelan needs has been introduced by the NHS and cost’s considerably less, The total cost of the surgery is £20,000 and know with the help of kind hearted people this is achievable. The surgery needs to be done within the next 12 months to give leelan the best chance of a better life, no more sleepless nights in pain. If the surgery is a success there is a strong possibility that Leelan will be able to walk with a frame, be able to stand and be pain free. He wouldn’t require the vast amount of medication he currently does. We are hoping to have some events in the near future that will help Leelan get the funding he needs to undergo the surgery in the next twelve months.
