Help Make Grandpas Wish Come True

In October 2017, the parents of Missionary James Lee, serving in Mexico, known to their kids as Grandpa (Halbogi) and Grandma (Halmoni) decided to sublet their apartment, and at 73 years old, travel to South Korea to see their older brothers and sisters once again. It had been many years since they had seen them, and since they were in fairly good health, they thought it would be a good time so see their brothers and sisters, cousins and more one last time. The plan was to stay 5-6 months, living with relatives from place to place, then return to the USA and live out their days serving at Glory Church of Jesus Christ Church. Everything was going well, until Grandpa didn't feel well and went to the hospital. In January, after weeks of weakness and pain, doctors diagnosed Grandpa Lee with Acute Leukemia. Further studies show that he is now too weak to travel back to Los Angles. Thankfully, because of his service to the Korean Army many years ago, he still qualifies to go to the Veterans hospital, and his treatment costs are reduced. However the costs are still significant and they have very few medical benefits if they were to return to the USA. The decision was made for him to have chemotherapy and remain in Korea. James and Barbarita have sent their savings to cover their housing and the treatment costs not covered by the Veterans hospital.

***On a recent phone call with Grandpa\halbogi in Korea, he pleaded to James to bring their 3 kids to Korea to see him once more.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help send the Lee's to Korea to make Grandpas wish come true. Since time is limited, and the Lee's are being trandsferred to a new ministry site, and no one knows how long he has, they need to plan to visit in April. They are planning to go April 16th-30th. Please consider continbuting to help them get the kids over to see Halbogi/Grandpa Lee.
