Leek Wootton Sports Club

Donation protected
This year has been more difficult than usual for the Sports Club. We have lost significant revenues during the pandemic due to lockdown and less people wanting to socialise or indeed being able to socialise how they would normally want to. We are also unable to take bookings for large events as we would have done in the past.

The annual Boxing Day raffle is normally a great money spinner for the club and many of our members donate prizes. The Committee has decided however that this year, due to the normal method of door knocking and collecting cash through sales of tickets, this would be dangerous to do. As such, we are asking for your help - the club would generate in excess of £1000 usually from raffle ticket sales, and as such we are asking members to donate whatever they can to help keep the club open and solvent.

LWSC is a community asset, and we would like to keep it this way for as long as possible. We have spent money on refurbishment of the Charles Jackson lounge, we are planning refurbishment in the main room, and have to spend money on a new mower for the memorial ground.

This year, rather than asking for your generosity in providing raffle prizes and buying tickets, we ask for your generosity in donating as little or as much as you can to keep this institution running and to help replace our normal raffle income.

Many thanks on behalf of the committee and membership of Leek Wootton Sports Club.
