Towards the end of last year, Ryan and myself got thinking as to how we could raise a few quid for Pendleside Hospice. The reason and motivation for this was because of everything that happened in 2020; fund-raising in general  has plummeted and small charities have been hit hard.


And of course, people in their hours of most desperate need are still totally reliant on the hospice for its vital services, whether there’s a global pandemic or not. We wanted to do something a little different in terms of a challenge, but something which would push us to the limits. So the decision was made that we would run the 127 miles of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. 5 marathons over 5 days. This is way, way above and beyond anything either of us have ever undertaken before. It’s gonna be relentless, tough and brutal. But ultimately, achievable. The challenge is now well and truly on to get whipped up into shape for September 2021 and hopefully, knock it outta the park. 


On behalf of the hospice and ourselves, any donations received would be greatly appreciated. Especially so considering the uncertainty of lives and livelihoods we are faced with today.

More information about Pendleside Hospice: Pendleside Hospice provides care and support to people in the Burnley &amp; Pendle area that have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. Care is provided free of charge to anyone that needs it either within our Hospice building at Reedley, out in the community or within a patients own home. Care and support is extended to the patients family and carers.
