<div>Hey, I’m Brittany Walford, founder of NextKey Housing Access Foundation, a Black-women-led nonprofit tackling one of New York City’s most urgent crises: access to safe, stable housing.

Through my work in housing and real estate, I’ve seen families denied homes even with a voucher in hand, landlords overwhelmed by the process, and young people aging out of foster care with nowhere to go. These experiences are what pushed me to create this nonprofit  so families, landlords, and communities can finally get the support they need to unlock housing access.

We’re starting small but powerful a pilot program that bridges the gap between families, landlords, and the community.

With your help, we will:
	•	Train voucher holders and families to confidently navigate NYC’s housing process.
	•	Support landlords to get their units inspection-ready and open them to voucher tenants.
	•	Provide emergency housing aid so no one loses stability over a MetroCard, a repair, or a $200 shortfall.

This pilot is realistic and measurable. Here’s how we’ll use the funds: </span><br />

<div><span> •	$10,000 — Tenant &amp; voucher holder workshops + digital resource hub </span>
</div>
<div><span> •	$5,000 — Landlord support (education + inspection prep) </span>
</div>
<div><span> •	$5,000 — Emergency housing support fund
	•	$5,000 — Outreach, tech, and nonprofit operations.</span>
