Leaving the Pit is about to enter a third year. In the first two years we have conducted monthly seminars on topics like substance abuse, pornography, anxiety, depression, food addictions, anger management, parenting and more. Our 2½ day retreats on marriage, pornography, depression, and anxiety have met with excellent reviews from participants. Thank you for your support. Christians have come from eight states to receive help and services. Now we need your help to get us to the next phase.

We have now converted to a 501c3 service with a new website leavingthepitbehind.org. This allows for tax deductible donations to help brethren who use our services.

Leaving the Pit Behind receives contact almost daily from our brethren whose lives are troubled and from leaders who are struggling for solutions to help their members and families. The need is larger than first anticipated. You can help Leaving the Pit Behind to grow faster in meeting this increasingly great need.
There are some very costly pieces to put in place to position ourselves so we can help hurting brothers and sisters. We will not be able to do it alone. We need you. Here is what your tax deductible donation will be helping:

WeCounsel (a web-based platform):
Since hurting brethren are scattered across states and countries, your dollars can provide a virtual counseling office with face- to- face digital individual counseling. The mechanism to have this virtual office is costly, but it will allow counseling services to be offered to our brethren across several states. WeCounsel is HIPAA compliant with both record keeping and administrative functions built in. With this, Leaving the Pit Behind counselors (there are 10) can provide access to numerous brethren. Partial funding of the custom program has been raised. We need to raise $5,000 in addtion so the platform can be designed and fully implemented. By helping this platform you are helping bring healing to hurting people in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennesee, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and Florida with additional states to be added soon. This platform will be able to help all those outside of the U.S. in English and Spanish as well.
