Leaving Marlcliffe

Hi, I'm Steve, and this July marks the end of my 13-year association with Marlcliffe Primary School. From 2012 to 2023, I had three daughters go through the school.

Since 2018, I've been on the school's governing body, initially as a Parent Governor, and for the past 5 years as Co-Chair.

It's tough for schools to be able to afford the nice-to-haves for pupils nowadays - newer books, play equipment, or creativity sets. So, as my association with the school ends, I thought I would like to do a bit of fundraising to buy some nice new stuff for the school's current and future pupils.

In July 2025, I'll be doing an Ironman 70.3 (that's 1.2 miles swimming, 56 miles cycling and running a half-marathon of 13.1 miles - 70.3 miles in total!). The school would like to buy some new outdoor equipment to help pupils to be active (a sand pit, problem-solving and den-building equipment, and outdoor bean bags).

I'm hoping to raise £1,000 to help buy these things - with your sponsorship, maybe I can hit my target!
